Inspiration

BlockChain is an new and emeging technology in today's world and it always been an inspiration for us to learn and develop something using new and emerging technology! Our financial system needs to be transparent, secure, and accessible to everyone but with our current centralized financial system these promises seems to be not fulfilled so there is a need to built a decentralized financial system that promises users all the above mentioned!

What it does

  • Our project is Web3.0 based application that allows users to exchange Ethereum cryptocurrency
  • Our app serves as a platform for MetaMask users to connect their wallet to it and allow them to send ETH to other MetaMask users.

How we built it

  • We used Reactjs, solidity, hardhat etc. to build our application.

Challenges we ran into

We are a newby in Web3.0 development, so this challenge seemed quite daunting at first, as we essentially had to start from scratch. Also, some of the libraries we used were troublesome when it came to setting them up and getting them to work. The part where we connect the app with MetaMask wallet was quite challenging but ultimately we figured out the way forward.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to develop a Web3 app with most of of the functionality we had planned on achieving and enjoyed tackling the issues and bugs as a team! We learnt a lot of things in while working on this project.

What we learned

We learned new technologies like Hardhat developing env, Web3.js library!

What's next for EthXChange

We will be focusing on deploying our web app properly and using our domain. We'd also like to add more functionality where user can see their transaction history!!
