Inspiration

Combining AI assistance with blockchain security to automate task execution. Inspired by eliminating trust gaps in freelance work—where intelligent agents handle tasks and smart contracts guarantee instant, fair payment.

What it does

etheragent-escrow enables AI-assisted task execution with blockchain-secured payments. Users post tasks with escrow funding, AI agents intelligently handle execution, and smart contracts automatically release payment upon verified completion.

How we built it

Built with React and TypeScript frontend powered by Vite. Integrated Google Gemini API for intelligent task processing. Implemented Web3 smart contracts using ethers.js for secure escrow management. Optimized for mobile responsiveness and fast performance across devices.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled integrating Gemini AI with Web3 infrastructure—managing async calls between AI processing and blockchain confirmations proved complex. Mobile responsiveness required careful optimization. Building trust without centralized oversight was challenging, requiring robust verification mechanisms and secure smart contract architecture.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of seamlessly integrating AI with blockchain—creating a trustless system where tasks execute reliably and payments settle instantly. Our mobile-optimized interface ensures smooth performance across all devices. Most importantly, we built a decentralized escrow platform eliminating intermediaries while preserving security and genuine user trust—a true Web3 accomplishment.

What we learned

We learned that integrating AI with blockchain requires careful state management and async coordination. Security and trust are paramount—smart contracts must be meticulously designed for escrow integrity. Mobile-first development isn't optional in Web3. We also discovered that combining decentralized infrastructure with intuitive UX is difficult but essential. Most importantly, we realized that solving real-world trust problems through technology requires balancing innovation with user education.

What's next for etheragent-escrow

Next, we're expanding to multiple blockchain networks for broader accessibility. We're enhancing AI capabilities with specialized task agents for various industry domains. Building community features including reputation systems and decentralized dispute resolution. Adding advanced analytics dashboards for complete transparency. Developing an open API for third-party integrations. Exploring hybrid payment options combining crypto with traditional rails. Most ambitiously, we're creating autonomous task marketplaces where AI agents collaborate on complex, multi-step projects.
