As freshman going through the challenges of ETAM, we experience first hand the confusion and anxiety that comes with being an Aggie engineer applying for our desired majors. With this in mind, we wanted to create a single resource that could be a beacon for future Aggies alike.
What it does
ETAMology offers a singular hub of resources that provides information on everything to know about ETAM and freshman engineering courses at Texas A&M.
How we built it
We created this website from scratch using html and css on VScode.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges that we faced include source control, organization issues, and implementing the correct designs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the aesthetic interface of the web application and the functionality of the website's elements.
What we learned
We learned how to effectively make a website and how to utilize tools such as ChatGPT. Having no prior experience with html, we learned it's syntax and application style using a plethora of resources.
What's next for ETAMology
The next steps include adding more course information and a live-chat feature that allows students to ask questions and interact with faculty, staff, and upperclassmen.
