Epoch's Depression Classifier

Inspiration

1 in 3 people are depressed and the epidemic of undiagnosed depression must be tackled. We hope this project can aid professional in helping people in need.

What it does

Using data from an actigraph, we aim to predict if an individual is depressed using data science.

How we built it

We used python libraries, deep learning, data science and creativity to engineer an application.

Challenges we ran into

Collecting and cleaning data, dealing with time series, learning new models.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our model has a very high accuracy, and the fact that we pulled it off in under 2 days.

What we learned

We learned many things about the Rocket model, classification using series, practicality and use of data science. Working as a team, hustling for a project.

What's next for Epoch's Depression Classifier

We hope to improve the project with more sophisticated techniques and more data. Improve the hosting.
