The inspiration behind Entra-ID stemmed from the frustration faced by property owners, developers, and businesses when navigating the intricate landscape of zoning laws and permit processes. We recognized the need for a user-friendly solution that simplifies these complexities and empowers users to confidently engage with urban planning and construction.

Zoning Laws Information: Users can explore local zoning regulations, understanding land use restrictions and requirements specific to their project locations. Permit Processes: The app guides users through both residential and commercial permit application processes, streamlining approvals. Common Permits: It highlights common permits, such as building permits and occupancy permits, ensuring users have the necessary knowledge. Secure Transactions: Integrated payment gateways allow users to handle permit fees securely. Visual Search: Users can upload project location images, and the app matches them to relevant zoning regulations, making compliance easier. Chatbot: The app not only simplifies zoning laws and permits but also features an intelligent chatbot. This chatbot, powered by cutting-edge AI, assists users in real time, answering questions, providing guidance, and enhancing the overall user experience. How We Built It

The development process involved several key steps:

Data Collection: We gathered zoning laws, permit details, and geospatial data for various regions. Backend Development: Leveraging TiDB Serverless, we efficiently stored data and implemented vector search for information retrieval. Visual Search Engine: Our custom visual search engine analyzes uploaded images, providing context-specific zoning information. User-Centric Design: We prioritized an intuitive interface, ensuring users could easily access the app’s features.

Challenges We Faced

Data Quality: Ensuring accurate and up-to-date zoning data was a constant challenge. Algorithm Optimization: Fine-tuning visual search algorithms for efficiency required significant effort. User Adoption: Educating users about the app’s capabilities and encouraging adoption was an ongoing process.

What’s Next for Entra-ID In the future, we plan to expand Entra-ID’s coverage to additional regions, enhance the visual search capabilities, and collaborate with local authorities to ensure accurate and real-time data.
