Inspiration

Someone in a crisis shouldn't have to Google "what do I do." I built EmergenPoint because panic kills decision-making, and people deserve a clear first step.

What it does

Enter your emergency and location — EmergenPoint finds every relevant service near you and gives you step-by-step actions to get help fast.

How we built it

Backend — Node.js + Express AI — Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Location — Browser Geolocation + OpenStreetMap Nominatim Deployment — Docker (multi-stage build)

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring AI-generated emergency guidance was accurate and not misleading. Balancing speed vs. thoroughness when lives may depend on the response time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A working end-to-end flow — location in, actionable emergency plan out — in under 30 seconds. Clean, calm UI designed specifically for high-stress moments.
