Inspiration

This project aims to build an application which uses ML to classify garbage and guide people to put them into the right waste bins.

What it does

EcoSort is the app that helps you sort your trash with ease. With our state-of-the-art AI technology, you can be sure that your waste is being properly disposed of, reducing the environmental impact and making the world a better place.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the detector to work, as there were many problems with the multiple ways we tried to implement it.

What we learned

How to better implement AI, react native, and do backend altogether.

What's next for EcoSort

We can improve the user experience and implement this app throughout the regional area, possibly starting recycling separation centers of our own and hopefully expanding to all global regions struggling with the issue of garbage disposal.
