Inspiration

Have you ever gone to a retirement home and thought, wow, why are our tax payer dollars going towards keeping these unemployed individuals happy and cozy? Have you ever thought how unfair it is that they get cute companion robots to talk to and feed them?

I have.

And frankly, I was inspired. Inspired to bring our Canadian economy to the strongest state its ever been, by maximizing our workforce's capacity to increase shareholder value with the power of the ELDERLY.

This project turns the cute companion robots back to their roots, apocalyptic monsters pushing our economy forward.

With the weapon of verbal bullying.

What it does

The "Economic Revitalizer 10000" aims to take the retired out of their comfy blankets and back into the factories through creatively designed insults created to push the retired outside of their comfort zone. The "Economic Revitalizer 10000" is equipped with a state of the art Computer Vision technology, masterfully used to track and follow the old people of choice.

This allows the ER10K to continuously pester, annoy and inspire the elderly that maybe retirement isn't for them.

How we built it

We built it with tears, sweat, and Capitalistic Pride.

(Also MediaPipe object identification, Arduinos, HTML, and a variety of other mindboggling technologies)

Challenges we ran into

Jesus Christ never host servers on Arduino. Holy. Our challenges included the loss of sanity, considering checking ourselves into a retirement home, and our general urge to throw the Arduino.
