Echoes Forensics is a digital forensic analysis tool designed to help investigators quickly analyze biological and fingerprint evidence from a crime scene. The platform combines computer vision and DNA sequence analysis to identify potential suspects by comparing crime scene samples against a database of known individuals.
The system performs two core analyses. First, it uses feature detection algorithms to compare fingerprint images and determine similarity between crime scene prints and suspect fingerprints. Second, it applies DNA sequence alignment techniques to evaluate genetic similarity between samples using established bioinformatics methods.
Built with a modern full-stack architecture, the application integrates a Python analysis engine with a responsive web interface. Users can upload evidence files, run automated analysis, and view visualized results showing the most likely matches.
Echoes Forensics demonstrates how machine learning, computer vision, and bioinformatics can be combined into an accessible tool that assists investigative workflows and accelerates evidence analysis.
