Inspiration
Need to attend a meeting but keep forgetting the date? Want to video call a friend but live in a different time zone? Use EasyQuota! We wanted to create an application where you can organize your schedules and get daily notifications! Due to work priorities, we always try to create a suitable schedule timeline. As a junior, I try to schedule my time for schoolwork, clubs, internships and etc., but sometimes my schedules might interfere with other events and I wouldn't be aware until later. So, creating such an application will help the user manage and organization different events without fail!
What it does
This tool will help create the best schedule, regardless of time zones. You will be able to share this with your colleagues, business partners, and friends as scheduled. It also provides notifications in advance to all of the participants. It will create the archive of all meetings. It will notify you if there is interference within events. It will send out text notifications and emails to keep the users updated. It will have a provision to share file attachments. Moreover, it will keep track of the participants who will end attend the meeting.
How I built it
I used Figma to create the wireframe of the website. I also used HTML and CSS for web development.
Challenges I ran into
There was a communication gap within my team, which led me to complete all of the projects by myself. It was difficult as I had to plan out the design as well as the functionality of a web page by myself.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Within my website, I tried to include a Google Cloud authentication, however wasn’t successful with it. This was my first time doing it and I felt like I learned a lot. It provided me an opening to different security options for my future projects.
What I learned
As stated before, I learned how to handle work pressure, even at the last minute. I was able to refer and utilize Google Cloud login options. I had a glimpse of backend coding and it gave me ideas for future hackathons.
What's next for EasyQuota
In the future, I would like to implement a "shared" company/organization account, where users can edit and modify events and information. I would like to expand it to smartphones, where users can share links across various social media platforms.
