Inspiration

We were inspired by the challenge many people face when shopping online — not knowing how clothes will look on them before buying. Countless returns and wasted purchases happen because customers can’t visualize the fit or style. We wanted to bridge the gap between imagination and reality, creating an experience where users can see outfits on themselves instantly before making a decision.

Challenges we ran into

One of our biggest challenges was the AI not always following our instructions accurately. Sometimes, Gemini would generate completely unrelated or incorrect visuals instead of showing the chosen outfit on the user. This forced us to:

Improve our prompt engineering and test many variations of prompts.

Add validation checks to detect and discard incorrect AI outputs.

Build fallback logic so users always get a meaningful result.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Through this project, we learned:

How to integrate Google Gemini AI to generate accurate and realistic try-on visuals.

How to build responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces for a seamless shopping experience.

The importance of user experience design, AI ethics, and performance optimization in real-world web applications.
