Inspiration
We wanted to go down the education route, so we decided to make something simple as we don't have any prior coding experience, but also useful for kids.
What it does
It provides children with useful information about the countries of the world to use for research purposes or to gain knowledge.
How we built it
We used Scratch block coding. We also utilized the features of broadcasting, backdrops, and sprites.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled to find a coding platform to use that was easy for us as beginners, but also strong enough to use to make a helpful resource for kids.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the final product as a whole because we were skeptical about whether we could do it, but we later were able to figure it out.
What we learned
We learned that coding isn't as difficult as it seems and that it can be fun.
What's next for Dot Around the World
We are looking to add more countries, because with the limited time period we were only able to do so many.
