Inspiration

We were inspired by the healthcare interoperability challenges faced by people who have to visit multiple providers.

What it does

Our application provides data management access through a decentralized blockchain framework without requiring data sources to leave their security settings.

How we built it

We built it on top of Qtum blockchain wrapper and used Ruby on Rails to create a full stack web app.

Challenges we ran into

The learning curve for the framework we chose was difficult to overcome.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of implementing this prototype in such a short time period. We feel that we have created a unique solution for leveraging blockchain in the healthcare space.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the Qtum wrapper and the development cycle of a full stack blockchain application.

What's next for Dolphin

We hope our idea will inspire others, and plan to follow up on these ideas in our PhD research.
