Inspiration
We wanted to build a virtual reality (VR) application that could help in the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered from strokes and other physical impairments through therapeutic means. With this immersive dog petting experience, we wanted to create something that would inspire hope and provide comfort for those going through hard times.
What it does
The objective of this VR application is to capture a full range of motion with arm extension and elbow flexion for patients with strokes. With the power of VR, we aim to capture the range of motion in real time, allowing patients and general users to be engaged in a realistic environment that will stimulate their senses.
How I built it
We used the Unity game engine to develop the foundations of the VR application, using the building blocks of Unity to render the virtual environment and the assets that populate the world.
