Health care is a right for every human. Technology can help to insure this right. This what gave birth to DoctoVirt, a mobile app that allows patient to connect with doctors locally or worldwide.

Inspiration

Many places around the word suffer from the lack of highly qualified doctors. People sometime dies because of this. Even when there is a doctor, if he don't have enough experience he can't help. In Addition to that, during pandemics, people can't go to doctors offices. This worldwide issues conducted us to think of a solution that is accessible to everyone and everywhere !

What it does

DoctoVirt, or Doctor Virtual. Is a mobile application that will connect patients and doctors from all around the world. The doctors first subscribe and get their profile validated, then can choose if they offer free or paid consultations. Patients will use the app to search for a specialized doctor and call him if he is available for online consultation. The app can also be used by not experienced doctors to get mentored by experienced doctors. This will solve a lot of health problems all around the world !

How we built it

We build this app with love for humanity. Every person on this earth deserve the best healthcare. We first designed all the app and what it should contain. We made it simple to be accessible for everyone. The user will choose if he is a patient or doctor then click next. If he choose patient, he will see the list of doctors, and he can search by name or by specialty. Some doctors offer free consultations, other can choose to get paid. If the user choose that he is a doctor, he first need to subscribe. We verify his profile and we send him email for extra steps and verification. Then he can login and see the requesting calls from the patients. We used Agora to implement the video calls and it gave an awesome result !

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was to make the app very simple in term of UI/UX since our app can be used by old persons. We believe that the design is user friendly and can be improved in the future.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are so proud to build a mobile app that can help millions of people around the world. And in long term can generate a good revenues to sponsor the project and grow bigger.

What we learned

We first leaned that technologies can be used for the good of the human being. If we put all hand by hand we can build a better word to live in. Secondly, technically we leaned how to make video calls using the awesome Agora Rtc, which gives a high quality calls.

What's next for DoctoVirt

This version is just a prototype for a bigger project. This app can grow and get millions of downloads. We will add the support for multiple languages, add appointment booking, add online payment and see what feedbacks we will get from our users to make it better.
