Inspiration
We were brainstorming for ideas on the spot. Looked into what the sponsor "Mintlify" does. Identified a possible pain-point for small teams trying to create api docs.
What it does
It takes a github repo url as input, parses the files through an agentic workflow uisng the google gemini API. This creates an OpenAPI spec json. This file is later fed into mintlify to deploy a development server with the api endpoints beautifully documented
How we built it
We spent the first hour brainstorming, the following 4 hours was pure intense coding and debugging and fighting with chatgpt.
Challenges we ran into
We were stuck on a very silly bug for close to an hour that involved a 1 line change to fix. Classic coder experience. Facepalm
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to pull off a full-stack AI enabled product that somehow works in less than 5 hours. This is personally the fastest I've put something together
What we learned
All it takes to build something impressive is 2 people with a truck load of caffine and 6 hours of time.
What's next for DocMint
Build into a full fledged SaaS and eventually get acquired by Mintlify ;)
