Inspiration
This project is an idea for political empowerment that I've held for many years. It's now a new startup that I hope will profoundly influence the world for the better. Of course, a site is needed to actualize this dream, and this hackathon is the beginning of that. The team I worked with and their work ethic is another great source of inspiration.
What it does
This site allows donors to attach crowdfunded money behind contracts, to influence political representatives, parties, non-profits, universities, charities, churches, you name it. Donors can track the status of the donation. The goal is to give political representation to all.
How we built it
We built it with HTML and CSS.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge that we ran into is styling the website and knowing the functions and syntax to make our site prettier.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Some accomplishments that we’re proud of is seeing our pages that we coded come together into one website.
What we learned
FTP programs, utilizing CSS to style our website.
What's next for DoBid
We hope to continue site development, utilizing perhaps the Frugal Innovation Hub to assist with engineering development. The current team is interested in leading continued development. DoBid is already an LLC and there's extensive legal documentation, such as privacy policy, and the like in existence. Once the site is fully functional, business operations can ensue.
