CAR CRASH. IT IS AS SIMPLE AS AN AUTOMATIC DISTRESS SIGNAL TO FAMILY, CLOSE FRIENDS, AND

911 ALLOWING A HIGHER CHANCE OF SURVIVAL FOR THE PERSON IN THE CAR CRASH. DRIVE AND

Inspiration

Every day we hear of people who crash in the middle of nowhere, no one to hear their crash or see their cars in a ditch. This app allows a quicker and better response to emergency situations

How it works

Detects a sudden change in velocity. When it does, it gives you 15 seconds to push a button or it will message 911 with your location, your close contacts with your location, and makes people in a 5 mile around you with the app aware that you had an accident.

Challenges I ran into

Using Push notifications, GPS, and the biggest one, finding a reliable driver to test the app with :), trying to do it on iOS as well

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating a solid product that works, becoming better teammates and coders.

What I learned

New databases, how to use push notification, location services(iOS)

What's next for Dispatch

Bug fixes, UI/UX improvement, iOS development, the Android code also needs a major cleanup, it wasn't written very well (We are newer to android dev).

Update

Unfortunately, we will not be releasing Dispatch on Android or iOS because we found many apps on the app stores that do the exact same thing as our app. We figured it wouldn't be worth all the time and effort. Sorry!
