Inspiration
We wanted to make something that educated others on different cultures while teaching them a valuable skill.
What it does
It allows users to select different countries to explore, then showing them a recipe from that country, facts about it, and cooking instructions.
How we built it
We used python flask for the back end, JS HTML and tailwind for the front end, and the Spoonacular API for our data.
Challenges we ran into
Overall, we had some challenges in terms of planning, we had some conflicts in execution but after we communicated we created a website that we were both proud of.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of implenting animation and intuitive UX with an idea that encourages cultural awareness. The fact that we could do something like that and still learn so much while coding was kind of amazing.
What we learned
As a group we learned how to communicate in the planning process. Eshaan learned more about implementing animation and he also learned a lot about UX, in which he felt like he improved in substantially. Krishna learned more about filtering through data and he also learned on how to split up his data into effective pieces for the user.
What's next for Dishly
