Disease Alert

This website is to report and grab data from our REST API made with Java which will show the disease near you. you must report and fill out a form. After, it is shown on the home page.

The prompt inspired us to make this project. We love to help people.

What it does

The project alerts the community of any diseases so they can protect themselves from those dangerous diseases.

How we built it

We used Visual Studio Code for the software. We used Jakarta (Java) for the back end. Our front end was made with Plain HTML, and JS.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into are importing problems, navigating Next JS 13, internet issues, and hosting the Java server.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to make a website to help out the community. We are also to participate in such an amazing Hackathon.

What we learned

We learned how to fix cors with javascript and work with Next JS 13.

What's next for DiseaseAlert

The next plans for DiseaseAlert are creating an easily accessible app, adding professional doctor's certifications, adding availability, and global optimization.
