Inspiration
We wanted a way to help people better manage their health by providing them with a resource they can understand and use to help them make better decisions relating to their health.
What it does
The project is a website which prompts the user to enter symptoms they are experiencing and helps them narrow down the possible cause of their symptom.
How we built it
We built the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
We first wanted to use an API to retrieve data regarding to illnesses and their symptoms, however after running into complications we decided to build a JavaScript data set from scratch.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning new skills, solving problems, and working as a team to better develop and publish a website showcasing our project which can be helpful to many people.
What we learned
We learned how to design and deploy a website, as well as learning new programming languages and different ways we can implement them into projects.
What's next for Digital Doctor
Improve the chatbot responses and provide more detailed information through Natural Language Processing tools.
