Inspiration

I got inspiration from Linktree, where users can make social media collections and showcase them to others but I'm not too fond of the classy design of linktree. So, I decided to make one with a modern design and top-notch customization. In this way, Devport has been immersed.

What it does

Devport just makes the collection your social media and showcase them in an attractive way. Its major features are as follows:

  1. Create Portfolio - You can create your portfolio with your own information in just a few minutes.
  2. Top-notch customization - You can use any of the 7+ pre-built themes to customize your portfolio.
  3. Active/Offline status - You can switch the status of your portfolio to active or offline.
  4. Newsletter - You can subscribe to our newsletter to get engagement updates on your portfolio. There is an automated bot running in the server which tracks the views of every user whose newsletter is enabled.
  5. SEO friendly - This website is SEO friendly. You can easily rank your portfolio on google.
  6. JWT-based login system - Devport is fully optimized by jwt due to which It has a secure environment.

How I built it

I built the web app which is Devport, A stunning portfolio maker. It helps you especially developers to make a collection of your social media and showcase them with top-notch customization. It has 7+ themes which you can try in your portfolio. I built devport using following mern tech stack:

  1. React js (frontend)
  2. Mongo db (Database)
  3. Custom CSS (Styling)

Challenges I ran into

As a developer, Challenges of error and bugs are common. I got ran out of many frustrating moments but I managed to solve it. I got the most difficult challenge which is state management in the overall app and making the app smooth and providing a user-friendly environment.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am proud of that I built the fully functional web app which helps developer to make stunning portfolio.

What we learned

I learned many things like advance state management, calling API and managing responses and One last things that's is JWT. I integrate the authentication and authorization system of devport with the help of JWT.

What's next for Devport

The future plans of Devport are:

  1. Make more customization.
  2. 50+ themes and design
  3. Integration of User's code to design their portfolio.
  4. And many more.
