Inspiration
We challenged ourselves to create an impactful solution for clinics and patients.
What it does
QVax is a full stack web application that provides vaccine eligibility dates for patients, a reminder system for overdue, eligible, or upcoming vaccines, and a platform for clinics to keep track of a patient's vaccination history.
How we built it
A full stack web application with the following technologies.
Front End:
- React
- Tailwind
Back End:
- node.js
- TypeScript
- Express.js
Challenges we ran into
Integration between front end and back end components, designing the platform, and creating the base rule search engine for vaccines.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We finished a complete full stack application on time despite being first time hackers within 24 hours!
What we learned
- We learned React and utilized it for our Front End.
- Integration is tricky and comes with lots of errors if our models aren't consistent!
- We learned project management skills with task delegation
- Lastly, we learned how to work efficiently under pressure. simulating how what an environment in industry would be like!
What's next for QVax?
For our future features, we would like to fully implement our reminder system, download through pdf, and data input through csv files.
