DevelopMe

Our inspiration came from a simple, powerful belief: every child has unique potential, and autistic children deserve tools designed for their strengths. We saw the lack of platforms that focus on nurturing talent, communication, and personal growth in autistic kids — not just supporting them, but empowering them. That’s where DevelopMe began: as a way to spotlight their abilities, track their progress, and support their development in a personalized, respectful, and joyful way.

DevelopMe is a growth and support platform built especially for autistic children.

It helps them: Discover and showcase their unique talents Set personal development goals and celebrate milestones Improve communication and emotional expression Engage with content tailored to their pace and interests Get support from mentors, therapists, or educators (coming soon) The platform provides a safe and encouraging digital space that adapts to neurodiverse needs and strengths.

How we built it We built DevelopMe as a team of three, combining our skills and shared passion: Designed intuitive, sensory-friendly interfaces Structured personalized goal and task tracking systems Collaborated closely using GitHub for version control Focused on accessibility and simplicity throughout development (You can optionally include the tech stack if you're okay with sharing it.)

Challenges we ran into: Understanding the wide range of needs within the autism spectrum Designing an interface that balances simplicity, clarity, and engagement Managing time effectively as a team with diverse strengths Making sure every feature had real-life relevance and not just “nice to have” Accomplishments that we're proud of : Creating a working prototype that addresses a real and underrepresented need Learning how to design with empathy, not just efficiency Collaborating smoothly as a five-member team Seeing our vision come to life in a meaningful way
