Genre

Description

Third-person game where players have to manage an office where all the workers are cats. At the beginning of the game, a client will come in and give the players a certain budget to be able to run the office and a set amount of time to reach the end goal. During the actual game, the cats will begin to get distracted and stop working. The players will use the money given to them by the client to give the cats treats and keep them efficient. The client’s happiness can be measured from the top of the screen, along with how much time there is left to finish the mini-goal. If the client is happy by the time the timer runs out, then the player will get a bonus amount of money that can be used later on to expand the office and get bigger clients. If the client isn’t happy, then they will have to return a portion of the money the client gave to the player as budget, thus making the player lose money from the game’s “bank account.” The end-goal of the game is to be able to expand the office and make it large enough to get big-name clients and take over the world as a Fortune 500 corporation.

Key Features

Story

Players have to work with their company from its humble beginnings as a start-up to later get it to become a Fortune 500 company and take over the world.

Cats

Movements There are two types of states the cats can be in: efficient and distracted

Efficient

When the cats are working and helping the office, they are in the efficient mode. This is when the players can click on the cats and choose specific actions that work to raise the clients’ happiness level. The clients can ask for: -Logos -Websites -Pamphlets -Posters -Book covers -Ect.

To complete these tasks, the players have to interact with the cats and complete small tasks to eventually complete the bigger tasks. These tasks include: -Print -Design -Layout -Write report -Send to editor -Proofread -Program

Cats get distracted really easily, so they when they are not working (looking at the computer screen) they are doing one of these tasks. The tasks will be assigned randomly:

Sleeping - player has to click on the cat to wake it up Rowdy - use the spray bottle to get to cat to behave Running - pick the cat up and drag them back to the desk Playful - give cat a toy to play for a while and make them happy, but then take it away or the cat will play forever Grumpy - the player has to pet the cat to make it happy again

Happiness

A small face on top of the cat will appear to show how happy they are. If the cat is happy, then it is more likely to continue doing its work. If it’s unhappy, then it won’t want to do its work. The cats can be made happy by clicking on them and using the functions to feed them catnip or give them something else to make them productive.

Goals

Client Goals

Players will receive messages from new clients asking them to complete a generic report or produce a generic item in a certain amount of time. Budget - the amount of budget given to each player will depend on the difficulty of the task and how many cats are being employed at the office Production Time - the amount of time given will depend on the difficulty of the task and how many cats are in the office

Overall Goal

The game’s main objective is to grow the company enough to eventually make it large enough to take over the world. This will happen when the players have reached enough cats to bring a large office into every continent in the world. Once this is achieved, the players will be notified that they have won the game, but will still have the option to continue playing. They will not, however, be able to continue expanding their office.
