Yes it is true that you can learn something in hardly some time with your friend guiding you rather than going through some online tutorial videos and blogs. If you are a coder, then having a coder partner is really a blessing. Do you need someone who can help you develop your skills easily?
What it does
It matches you with your pair programmer.
Pair/Extreme Programming is a new, Agile programming method where you can learn and develop your skills with and from someone as well as help that person grow! It's constructive development. Find your codemate
How we built it
1) Made a wireframe and workflows for the implementation. 2) Designed an attractive frontend. 3) Established a cockroach DB for storing all the users. 4) Designer a recommender system based on content based filtering. 5) Setup a flask backend. 6) Deployed it after adding the domain.
Challenges we ran into
- We were 20 hrs late when we got to know about the hackathon, so faced a time issue.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Finished an AI Based Full stack application in very less time.
- We were 20 hrs late when we got to know about the hackathon, still we made it!
What we learned
- We used devops for efficient work methodology.
- Learned using cockroach DB.
What's next for DevDates
- An efficient recommender system which uses Github API to understand the coder better!
