Inspiration

We believe that every developer deserves to showcase their skills and accomplishments in the best way possible. We were inspired to create Dev Arena to help developers elevate their resumes and stand out from the crowd.

What it does

Dev Arena uses the power of large language models to analyze resumes and accomplishments and suggest ways to improve them. With Dev Arena, developers can quickly and easily create impressive resumes that highlight their skills, experience, and achievements.

How we built it

We built Dev Arena using React to build a front end website and a backend API using Chat GPT to generate results. We generated compilable LaTex code that generates PDFs of résumé’s.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was leveraging Chat GPT to leverage our needs and figuring out our prompts. We spent countless hours fine-tuning our prompts and incorporating feedback from beta testers to ensure that our suggestions were helpful and relevant.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed a tool that can help developers showcase their skills and accomplishments in a way that truly represents their expertise. Our beta testers have reported significant improvements to their resumes after using Dev Arena, and we are thrilled to have played a role in their success.

What we learned

What's next for Dev Arena

In the future, we plan to continue improving our prompts and integrating more advanced features as well as front end design into Dev Arena. We also plan to expand our tool to support other industries and professions, so that everyone can benefit from the power of large language models.
