Inspiration

What inspired me to create Desmos is because when I took Pre-Calculus I needed a ti-84 for graphing but my parents didn't really want to spend $100 just so I could take a math course. So when I told my teacher about it my teacher said you can always just use desmos and when it comes to a test I'll let you borrow mine. This made me fall in love desmos as it was easily accessible and allowed me to do better my understanding of Pre-Calcuus.

What it does

It's a calculator that allows you to graph things, integrals, derivaties and finish other math problems that can't be completed on a normal calculator

How I built it

I used Visual Studios and used HTML and CSS to make the GUI and I used JavaScript and HTML to write the software.

Challenges we ran into

First challenge was wondering whether or not my teammates would show so around 9:30 I started coding waiting for my team and I didn't get an text message until 10:30 saying that my team wouldn't show up. Then my next issue was I needed to learn how to use HTML but that wasn't too hard because it's just a bunch of formating.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Well I'm happy that I was able to complete what I was able to considering that I didn't have a team to help me but I wish that I could've done more if I did have a team because there is so much more in desmos that I could've added.

What I learned

I learned how to write in HTML and learned that in order to create a good project you need more than 1 person.

What's next for Desmos

Probably creating 3D calculator for x,y, and z coordinates and using AI in some way to create practice problems based on previous inputted questions
