Inspiration

The inspiration for DELEG-AI came from seeing how fragmented academic communication can be. Students, teachers, and administrators often struggle with missed updates, repeated tasks, and inefficient coordination. I wanted to create an intelligent, reliable assistant to simplify communication and ensure everyone stays informed.

What it does

DELEG-AI is an AI-powered academic assistant that helps manage communication and coordination within schools or universities. It sends automated notifications, organizes tasks, and connects students, teachers, and administrators in a seamless and intuitive way, reducing confusion and saving time.

How we built it

The platform is built as a web application using:

React TypeScript for the frontend
FastAPI for the backend
Supabase for database, authentication, storage, and edge functions
LangGraph for AI agents, enabling intelligent automation, task management, and predictive notifications

The UI is designed to be modern, minimal, and user-friendly, reflecting the brand’s personality of trustworthiness, boldness, futurism, and reliability. AI features are integrated to provide intelligent suggestions and automate repetitive tasks.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring the AI features were intuitive and accurate
Balancing functionality with simplicity in the interface
