Inspiration

We are fintech enthusiasts who are passionate about solving customers' financial problems.

What it does

Our product is a mobile-based AI application which uses facial recognition, biometrics and QR code to authenticate users and make online transactions, which in turn, reduces fraudulent activities.

How I built it

The frontend of the app was built using React Native because it is cross-platform (works both on iOS and Android) and because it consists of many UI libraries and functionalities. The backend is built using C# .NET framework because of its strong memory backup and API consumption. FInally, Python was used to model the machine learning facial recognition model.

Challenges I ran into

• Making use of the given APIs

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

• Integrating the facial recognition AI model in the app to reduce fraud to the barest minimum

• The APIs provided by FSI Sandbox
• The architecture behind online transfer between banks

What's next for DeftPay

• Complete the build of every feature on the app and deploy to the cloud
• Partner with CBN, other financial organizations and ecommerce stores to integrate the app
