Inspiration
We wanted to get places to eat/go out without the hassle of having to search for them
What it does
Analyze tweets and retrieve places to visit/eat depending on tweet activity
How we built it
We used twitter's api to retrieve popular hashtags in an user's account, then we sent those keywords through Yelp's API to get similar places to the keywords provided, and used Google Maps API to visualize where the place is.
Challenges we ran into
We were not able to completely analyze the tweets and have a successful place retrieval since Yelp's API limits how many terms we can submit, and also by building a hybrid app we did not have the benefits of a native app such as deeplinks.
