Inspiration
Our Deception game project was inspired by Among Us, Mafia, and Skribbl.io, and its unique gameplay style that evolves in real-time.
What it does
Deceptions brings people together with fun gameplay, increasing connections
How we built it
with flet framework, reading through the documentation
Challenges we ran into
API, server hosting, formatting the UI properly
Accomplishments that we're proud of
A working game using local servers.
What we learned
how to use flet framework, fast API, how to use flet for UI design, and work in a team
What's next for Deception
Hopefully will transfer from a web game to uploading this game in the Google Play/App store.
Rules of Deception
- At the beginning of each round, each player receives a word.
- Liars receive a part of the word.
- All players will discuss who they think is/are the Liar(s) without revealing the actual word.
- After the discussion, all players must vote on who they think the Liar(s) is/are.
- If all Liars are voted out, the game ends, and the Players win.
- If any Liars remain, the game continues to the next round with a new word.
- If the number of Liars is equal to the number of Players, the Liars win.
