Inspiration

The inspiration behind DecentraSure stems from the need to revolutionize the insurance industry through innovative technology. Traditional insurance models often suffer from bureaucratic complexities, limited cross-border coverage, and lack of transparency. DecentraSure envisions a world where insurance transcends geographical boundaries and is seamlessly managed through advanced solutions. Inspired by the transformative potential of blockchain and Ripple's XRPL technology, we aim to bring trust, accessibility, and efficiency to insurance services worldwide. By harnessing the power of NFTs, CBDC technology, and public transactions records.

What it does

Decentrasure is a platform that aims to redefine the insurance industry by providing insurance companies an easy and seamless way to manage and validate insurance policies. We provide Non-fungible tokens (NFT’s) as a constancy of a user’s insurance policy, payment Management through CBDC technology, pransparency through a public transactions record to avoid inconsistencies and misuses.

How we built it

We started with discussing the possible ideas of projects to develop. We knew we wanted to have a project that will be able to help as many people as possible all around the world, we wanted to have a real impact. As developers and designers, our task was to learn as much information from XRPL in order to create a solution using its features such as hooks and escrows. After this, the prototype in Figma was done, which will show how the application will function.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge that we ran into was seeing ways in which we would incorporate XRPL's new technological features into our application. It was a process which took us some time, but we believe that our ability to learn new blockchain concepts is ideal to develop DecentraSure.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to share how we had envisioned our app to be. At the moment, it is accesible through the prototype, but we are excited to be able to develop it in the next stages.

What we learned

We learnt new concepts that are unique to the XRPL. Features such as escrows and hooks are really interesting since they can be used for a variety of reason in decentralized applications.

What's next for DecentraSure

The next steps are to develop the project. We are a team formed of Software Engineers and Blockchain Developers, so we have the necessary tools, knowledge and excitement to keep on developing and growing the project so that more people can benefit from it.
