Web3 decentralized file sharing and storing application using IPFS over Ethereum network. Access Control is provided to the user over his/her data. A great alternative to Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

Inspiration 💫

Iam a Blockchain Evangelist and Web3 Enthusiast. The Idea is like Owning our own data/files makes alot difference in relaying or trusting on others.

What it does 🚀

The User must have a Metamask and Sepolia testnet to access the applicatoin. The user will automatically connected to Metamask if not user need to create one! After connecting user can store his files by utilizing the UI and he/she can also share his stored content to any account address. For security purpose i used Revoke all function to manage data. Atlast user can store and share data easily on sepolia blockchain network.

How I built it 🔧

I build Frontend using React by functional based programming and created an efficient smart contract using solidity with useful functions. I used Hardhat as testing and deploying environment and used ethers.js to connect ABI code from Smart contract to Frontend.

What I learned 🎓

I learned how things work differently in traditional web2 and web3. Learned how to write an efficient smart contract in Solidity. With React now I can focus on Next.js

What's next for Foci 🌟

  1. Focusing to improve more UI experience coz people interested towards the ease of usage!
  2. Rather than using IPFS they are many storage protocols like Arweave..
  3. Improve the wallet integration like using Account Abstraction.
  4. Application can do transactions on different blockchain as user wish.
