Inspiration
We wanted to build something that makes maps and location data fun and easy to use. Maps are a great way to show information, and we liked the idea of using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring locations to life. The challenge of combining APIs with a clean design motivated us to start this project.
What it does
Our app lets users explore different places on a map in an interactive way. Using the OpenMap API, users can zoom in, move around, and click on locations to see more details. The app is simple to use and works smoothly on different devices.
How we built it
We used HTML to create the structure of the website, CSS to style it and make it responsive, and JavaScript to add interactivity. The OpenMap API helped us display live maps and update location data in real time. Putting everything together allowed us to build a complete and interactive web application.
Challenges we ran into
- Making sure all parts of the project worked well together
- Handling JavaScript features that load data at different times
- Keeping the app responsive and avoiding bugs during user interaction
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Building a fully working web app from scratch
- Solving technical problems and learning along the way
- Creating a project that looks good and works well
What we learned
- Patience while debugging and fixing issues
- Adapting to new concepts in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Managing time to meet deadlines
- Experimenting with APIs and interactive design
What's next for Untitled
- Add more features like live updates and user-based data
- Improve the design with animations and better mobile support
- Use more APIs, such as weather or traffic data
- Optimize performance and improve the app using user feedback
