Inspiration

To seamlessly browse a hub of clothing that gathers products from various stores based on the users interests.

What it does

User is prompted to enter a query (Ex. Shirt) which the app will then gather shirts from stores and display them as cards which the user can then swipe left or right to pass or save in their cart, respectively.

How we built it

Frontend: Used ReactNative and Expo with Javascript to implement the UI. A swipe deck from is used to enable swipe interactions. Backend: Integrated various packages such as Python Flask, request, and webbrowser to gather info via API's and converted the information into usable data.

Challenges we ran into

Had to start over with frontend UI when it wasn't working with the swipe deck version. Finding available API keys without breaking the law

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the swipe deck application to work with web scraping

What we learned

We learned how to code a UI design, more about APIs.

What's next for CyberInsecurity - CleanHaul

Integrating ML into the app so that it learns the user's preference over time. A filter system so the user can select their size, preferred brand, price range, etc. An improved UI by integrating animations to enhance the user's experience.
