Cyber Shield

Inspiration Cybercrime is becoming more common every day, and many people are unaware of the dangers of phishing, malware, and data theft. This inspired us to create Cyber Shield, a project designed to help users understand and protect themselves from online threats. What It Does Cyber Shield is a cybersecurity awareness and protection platform. It provides: Threat detection and alerts Password strength analysis Phishing website identification Security tips and best practices How We Built It We built the project using: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend Python for threat analysis and logic Flask for connecting the frontend and backend Basic cybersecurity concepts such as encryption and phishing detection Challenges We Faced One of the main challenges was implementing phishing detection accurately. We also faced difficulties in integrating the frontend with the backend and ensuring the application was simple and user-friendly. What We Learned Through this project, we learned: Fundamentals of cybersecurity Web development with Flask How phishing and malware attacks work The importance of secure coding practices Future Improvements In the future, we plan to add: Real-time malware scanning Multi-language support AI-based threat prediction Mobile application support Conclusion Cyber Shield is a practical project that combines cybersecurity knowledge with software development.
