Inspiration

During our team brainstorming session, Sam highlighted a major issue he encountered while learning something new. We realized that it can be frustrating and time-consuming to find the correct and accurate roadmap for a new subject. Additionally, not everyone has access to a mentor, guide, or teacher at all times. In fact, some people may not have any access to them at all. This is where CurryCoolum comes into play. The name is inspired by "curriculum" and "curry," with the idea that learning something new should be as easy as making a delicious curry. With CurryCoolum, everyone can access the proper roadmap or guide to learn anything new without facing any issues. We're proud to offer a solution that makes learning accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their resources or circumstances.

What it does

CurryCoolum is a learning platform that provides clear and accurate roadmaps for learning new topics. It is designed to be user-friendly and accessible to everyone for progressive learning, regardless of their background or prior knowledge. Our platform is focused on providing high-quality content that is easy to understand and follow. Also, based on your evaluation of the assessment, it regenerates a new customized but more efficient roadmap, that helps you to improve on the topics you are bad at in a particular domain.

How we built it

We built CurryCoolum using various technologies, including Next.js, tailwind.css, APIs, and Firebase. We focused on creating a simple and intuitive user interface, as well as developing robust backend functionality. Our team worked collaboratively, with each member contributing their unique skills and expertise.

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges we faced was creating accurate and detailed roadmaps for a wide range of topics. We wanted to ensure that our platform was comprehensive and covered all the key concepts, but also easy to follow and understand. Another challenge was integrating various APIs and data sources into our platform, as this required significant technical expertise.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the user-friendly interface we created, which makes it easy for anyone to use our platform. We are also proud of the comprehensive and accurate roadmaps we developed for a variety of topics. Additionally, we are proud of the collaborative nature of our team and how we were able to work together effectively and present it here at the bitcamp.

What we learned

Throughout the development of CurryCoolum, we learned the importance of creating a user-centered design that is easy to use and understand. We also learned the importance of collaboration and communication within a team. Additionally, we learned a great deal about various technologies, APIs, and data sources, which will be valuable for future projects.

What's next for CurryCoolum

Moving forward, we plan to continue expanding our platform by adding new functionalities and improving existing ones, things that we weren't able to do because of the time constraint . We also plan to enhance our important feature of interactive quizzes and user-generated content. Additionally, we are excited that we are taking our platform to the next level by building an MVP. We look forward to continuing to refine and improve our platform based on user feedback and analytics, and we are excited to see where this journey takes us.
