Inspiration

We were thinking about how long we spend trying to pick a movie or TV Show and wanted a faster way to find out what to watch.

What it does

Simply click the 'randomize' button, and we will recommend a movie or TV show as well as it's genre, rating, and brief description. If you don't like the recommendation, simply click 'randomize' again for a different option. We have over 10,000 films in our database!

I led our team’s idea and found a movie dataset with 8000+ movies/TV shows and fetched that data from the frontend using Javascript. I created an algorithm that randomizes the cinema outputted and added lines so that only the Netflix cinema type, title, genre, rating, and description keys and values would be printed. Finally, I designed the entire page using HTML/CSS.
