The problem that our solution solves is that people might not have the opportunities to get out and learn about other cultures or meet people to celebrate with. They end up missing out on not just their own culture but also others around the world. Recent years have shown people to be working more from home so they do not get the chance to really get to know colleagues as well. Sometimes the cultures may be less common too. The culture that we are familiar with is only a small part of the world. Another issue is that even though the internet is powerful, there are not many tools that actually connect you with another person. Tools for connecting exist but they do not have the goal for promoting culture. We address that by providing an app that can connect people and the tools to facilitate it.

We chose this app idea since it would help bridge the gap between people and culture in an interactive way. This solution incorporates facetime, chatting, a matching system in real time to connect with people, a weekly meeting, profiles that give basic info and share interests, and a leaderboard to encourage more people to connect and talk. It provides all the tools needed to start a conversation with people and colleagues across the world and even provides prompts and shared interests to break the ice. Chat and facetime options help to build more meaningful talks. People can even upload pics to conversations. Connecting with someone is super quick and easy with an estimated time to connect with a person. This should promote exchanging culture in a way that people teach others and learn at the same time. You can even check your history to see who you talked too.
