Inspiration
The project was inspired by an idea to create a website that shared unbiased news stories to help stop the spread of misinformation. It eventually led to a website that shared information about global cultures to combat xenophobia and ignorance.
What it does
Our project aims to solve the lack of awareness and the ignorance of other cultures around the world. Many cultures are surrounded by stereotypes and prejudice, partly because many people are simply misinformed about them. The website educates people about other countries, and it promotes acceptance and understanding of other cultures and religions. It tries to do this in an interesting manner, including games to entertain kids.

Challenges I ran into
We had trouble getting ReactJS to work on the webpage we wanted. We also changed our initial idea of an interactive map to one that highlighted historic sites.
