Manual fund movements between networks,using bridges, are risky, time-consuming, and costly, hindering users from accessing the best yields available.

By automatically seeking the best yields across diverse DeFi protocols on various EVM chains, CrossChain Harvest eliminates the need for users to manually monitor and move their funds between networks for better yields. How we built it

We built it using the following Chainlink products:

  • Chainlink Automation: To check frequently for better yields across various DeFi money markets on different chains.
  • Chainlink Functions: To call off-chain API to get the latest APRs of the markets.
  • Chainlink CCIP: To perform cross-chain bridging of tokens if better yields are found.

For demo purposes and due to the technical limitations of CCIP, we have built our own Mock Server API for CCIP-BnM and LnM tokens to get the latest APRs of the market. We have also used mock Beefy Finance vaults because they don't support CCIP-BnM and LnM tokens.

Challenges we ran into

CrossChain Harvest has a lot of moving parts using different Chainlink products. Integrating all these parts to work together is one of the main challenges we ran into.

We learned a lot about the working and functioning of different Chainlink products and the opportunities they open up for the Web3 space.

What's next for CrossChain Harvest

In the next few iterations, we are planning to improve our UI/UX, as well as launch a Progressive Web App (PWA) for mobile users, and go live on the mainnet. 🚀

Right now, CrossChain Harvest utilizes Mock Beefy Finance vaults under the hood for staking and re-staking because it's the only yield aggregator present across 23 EVM chains. Later on, we have planned to support more yield aggregator protocols in CrossChain Harvest as it will give users more opportunities to get greater yields.
