Crop CNN

The Problem

Overpopulation and Climate change make food security a larger and larger issue as demand surges and supply becomes less certain.

The proposed Solution

By using EVI (biomass) and temperature data gathered with satellites from Illinois and making predictions on the crop yield across different counties and years. This prediction was made using a CNN and applying it to the time series of average temperature and EVI at any one given time.
