About the Project
When our team, Credify, started working on this project for the NUS Fintech Hackathon, most of us didn’t know much about blockchain. It was a tough start because we had to figure out how blockchain works and how to use it to solve real problems. We were motivated by the challenge of improving how businesses verify each other, especially in the financial world, where trust is so important. We wanted to build something that could make this process smoother and more secure by using AI and blockchain technology. Our idea came from seeing how messy and unreliable data systems can be and realizing there’s a better way to handle this.
While working on this project, we learned a lot about combining blockchain’s transparency with the problem-solving power of AI. We explored different tools and algorithms, like XGBoost, and focused on making everything work together smoothly. It was exciting to design workflows for KYB (Know Your Business), build trust assessment models, and ensure everything followed the rules. This project showed us how powerful technology can be when it’s applied to real-world challenges.
Of course, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. At the beginning, learning about blockchain felt overwhelming, and it took a lot of time and effort to get up to speed. We also had to figure out how to make advanced technology simple and easy for people to use. These challenges pushed us to think creatively and work as a team. In the end, we’re really proud of what we built—a platform that makes it easier for businesses to trust each other and work together. It’s been an amazing experience, and we’re excited about what’s next.
