Inspiration

In the current era, Content creation is experiencing a remarkable surge in popularity, with an increasing number of individuals choosing it as a viable career path. As this industry attracts significant investment, the potential for financial gain is substantial. However, it is crucial to recognize that many prominent content platforms operate under a centralized model. Unfortunately, this centralized structure often presents obstacles for creators, particularly during the early stages of their content creation journey, when monetization can be particularly challenging.

On most platforms, creators are required to meet specific milestones before they can begin monetizing their content. Additionally, they may not have the means to directly monetize their videos, even with the support of their audience. This limitation can hinder their ability to earn a sustainable income and fully capitalize on their creative efforts.

What it does

Creatorz is a blockchain-based content-sharing platform that revolutionizes the way creators showcase their talent, monetize their work, and engage with their audience. Our platform leverages the power of blockchain technology to provide creators with unique opportunities to mint their videos as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), earning them recognition and financial rewards in the world of cryptocurrency.

Here they can upload their video in the studio page. There are three sections

Videos
- In Videos section they can upload videos along with all details of the video.
Rooms
- In Rooms they can create rooms. Rooms are like sort of a space where all videos is listed. So, one creator can have multiple rooms which will be of different genre, topic.
Tokens
- In Tokens they can create tokens. Creators can make Token and disburse to their audience in exchange of money also creator can also provide special perk to user who has his token.

We also have a Marketplace where Creator can sell his tokens, videos, and rooms in case if creator need some quick cash.so, this help in supporting creator in case of need and also other who like that video can buy that and ownership of video will be transferred .

How we built it

We opted for Next.js as our frontend framework, which enabled us to create a highly responsive and user-friendly interface. To deliver a seamless video experience, we integrated the powerful Theta Video API. Through the Theta video service, users can effortlessly upload their videos and enjoy content created by our talented creators. Furthermore, we harnessed the capabilities of Polybase to store essential video data, including likes, subscribers, and shares.

To access on-chain data related to videos, we employed the efficient graph protocol. To ensure optimal efficiency and scalability, we leveraged IPFS to store video metadata and thumbnails securely.

To style our platform's UI, we combined the flexibility of Tailwind CSS, the elegance of Material UI, and the rich collection of icons from React-Icons.

To enhance the user onboarding experience on Creatorz, we seamlessly integrated ** Arcana*. This feature enables users to easily sign up using their social media accounts and conveniently connect various wallets. Additionally, we implemented the **Push Protocol* to promptly notify users about any activities on Creatorz, ensuring they never miss out on exciting opportunities for fun and engagement.

During the course of our project, we encountered several challenges that demanded our diligent efforts to overcome. However, these obstacles became invaluable opportunities for growth and learning.

A remarkable milestone in our journey was the discovery of the game-changing Theta Video API. This pivotal finding revolutionized our video-related tasks and played a crucial role in elevating the overall user experience on our platform. By harnessing the power of the Theta Video API, we not only ensured the seamless functionality of our project but also significantly enhanced the user experience (UX) for our valued users.

In addition, we were able to implement many of the features we envisioned, such as the Marketplace. This Marketplace is designed to empower creators, providing them with valuable opportunities for growth.

What's next for Creatorz

We have exciting plans to integrate advertisements into our platform, offering a valuable monetization opportunity for video creators and enabling users to earn. Our aim is to strike a balance between providing monetization avenues and ensuring a seamless user experience. To achieve this, we will give creators the option to enable or disable ads on their videos, putting them in control of their content and revenue generation.

Furthermore, we are committed to continuously improving the UX/UI of our platform. We understand the importance of delivering a smooth and enjoyable experience to our users. Through ongoing development and enhancements, we aim to provide an intuitive and visually appealing interface that keeps users engaged and satisfied.

We will are also planning to implement NFT Gated content. So, that Creators can provide exclusive content to the user who hold the token created by that creator.
