Overview

You’re trapped in a digital nightmare—every tile is a chance to descend deeper into madness or find the fleeting solace of a green tile. The objective is simple: navigate through the ever-changing maze of tiles, but there’s no way out unless you’re clever and quick. Green tiles will grant you brief moments of relief, but red tiles… are something far worse.

How it works

-Difficulty Levels (Easy, Medium, Hard): Choose your mode, but no matter what you pick, the game is always unpredictable. The difficulty isn’t just about the number of red tiles—it’s about how much you can take.

-Jump Scares and Visual Disturbance: As you play, the screen will shift erratically, distort, and flash with disturbing images. The higher the difficulty, the more intense the psychological torment. Random jump scares appear, sending shockwaves through your sanity. Will you scream, or will you soldier on?

-Behavioral and LeetCode Questions: Landing on a red tile forces you to answer a question—each one more maddening than the last. Behavioral questions will probe your deepest fears and weaknesses, while LeetCode problems will make you question your very understanding of logic and reality. Solve them or be punished further…

Challenges we ran into

We had to generate at least 10 different API keys due to the strict limit :(

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Teamwork, Productivity, Being able to STAY AWAKE at 3am :\

What we learned

We learned that nothing is impossible and "never say never."

What's next for Create AND Regret

Expansion of Game Modes: We plan to introduce more game modes, each with unique twists. For example, a Dark Mode where the tiles are invisible until you step on them or a Survival Mode where the red tiles multiply every few seconds.

Multiplayer Options: Adding multiplayer functionality, where players can sabotage each other by triggering jump scares or influencing the tile layout, could bring an extra layer of madness to the game.
