Inspiration
People globally suffer daily from COVID-19 related lockdowns, social isolation, other economical and mental stresses associated with the pandemic. Imagine if you have a single stop shop for reducing stress`1 and help people, will it excite you? Obviously yes, and that is the source of our inspiration - to help better life during the pandemic.
What COVID 19 Elevate does?
COVID-19 Elevate providing resources for COVID-19. Quiz, Global covid19data, and Country-wise data and Resurse tools for divided by age group My piggy for school- Virtual lessons by grade Kids zone- COVID-19 awareness games Adult zone- Providing virtual employment resource Senior citizen - Providing useful video ref to COVID-19 Virtual meet up group- Kids, Adults, Senior Citizen
The global one will show the no of active, dead, and recovered patients. And the country-wise will show the same data but as per country we can also search for a specific country
How I built it?
COVID19 Elevate Application is build using Flutter and Backed with a RestAPI developed in PHP and NodeJS. 2 API are one API is our own which will fetch QUIZ and other is Coronavirus monitor By astsiatsko from there we will use two endpoints one will be forgetting global covid19 data and other is for getting country wise data
How is it beneficial to society?
This mobile application will be of great benefit to the community for their health and mental health reference to COVID-19 and spread awareness globally by providing data statistics.Covid19 Elevate also spread COVID-19 awareness by providing Global COVID 19 data as well it also provides country-wise data statistics. COVID19 Elevate suggests avoiding traveling which countries are more affected by COVID-19.
Challenges ran into?
Time spent building the app remains a significant challenge to overcome. Changing schedules, obligations, time spent researching, and other time-consuming activities can lead to rushed projects and proposals. This mobile application project will also consume time into coding and programming a prototype that functions properly. Finding the perfect API for COVID19 Status so that no wrong information is shared was a big task for us as well as creating a useful Quiz that can educate people is also a Time-Consuming Process.
Accomplishments that I am proud of?
I am proud to be able to deliver a prototype mobile application that is backed by our own API that if further worked on can be the start of something successful. These current times in this pandemic have brought many to be hurt in many ways. By our app, we can educate people around the world about this pandemic and how to deal with it.
What did I learn?
I believe what I learn most importantly in this project is to pre-plan many of the tasks and delegate work into chunks to get a better understanding of the big picture of this mobile app project. We learned a lot of new things from creating our own API, Manipulating them to show them in a beautiful UI.
What is next after COVID19 Elevate?
We would like to develop each feature of our resources by using high tech solutions.
