Inspiration

We wanted to build a product that would help users navigate Covid 19 with ease.

What it does

Our platform makes navigating Covid 19 easier by connecting like-minded people to do an activity of interest together, it also provides our users with useful resources and tips to stay healthy both mentally and physically.

How we built it

We built the platform using HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP.

Challenges we ran into

Working asynchronously and maintaining correspondence across different time zones was a challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

For some of us, this was our first hackathon. We have managed to successfully create an MVP in unfamiliar territory.

What we learned

In the process of working on this project, we became more technically competent by learning how to build a website from scratch for example. We learned about the use of different APIs and the importance of working together as a team.

What's next for covid lounge

We want to add more features as we move forward. We definitely want to explore ways of engaging the community in our platform.
