## Inspiration

Nearly **72–75% of high school graduates** enter adulthood feeling lost and directionless, and **32% of college students** end up dropping out. These aren't just statistics — they represent real people who fell through the cracks of a system that never gave them the tools to navigate it. We built CourseCompass because no student should fail simply because they didn't know which path to take.

## What It Does

CourseCompass is a course and major guidance platform designed to help students find their direction before it's too late. Students can explore different learning styles — visual, auditory, hands-on, and reading/writing — and get matched to courses and paths that actually fit them.

We specifically designed this with **underrepresented students in mind** — students with disabilities, those from underserved communities, and first-generation college students who don't have the network or resources to figure this out on their own.

## What's Next

We're just getting started. On the roadmap:

- **Classrooms** — Teachers will be able to create digital classroom spaces where they can post lesson plans, notes, and assignments directly through the platform
- Expansion to more schools, districts, and universities nationwide
