Inspiration
One of us has tutored young kids before and thought it would be helpful to provide this learning resource.
What it does
Our program is split into four sections: Math, English, Social Studies, and Science. It provides educational resources for kids of all ages. Inside math, basic arithmetic is covered. English provides an easy and a hard course, as to fit diverse needs. Social Studies is structured in a quiz format, with easy-to-understand explanations. Finally, Science is in a flashcard format to help students study hard-to-remember rules.
How we built it
We used Python to code all four sections.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges like cutting the amount of code down in the Social Studies section so one block could apply to three topics, and also compiling the code into one.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we managed to split the work equitably and learn new ways to solve problems!
What we learned
We learned further about stacking dictionaries in lists and other properties of dictionaries.
What's next for Coreses
Text-to-speech for easier learning and spreading it to be used in remote areas where it's necessary.
